Aged Tasting Note
āA decade in and this one has moved into everything Hunter Semillon is famous for. The lemongrass and lime have deepened into toast and honey, with the mineral drive and length still holding firm underneath. A Halliday 96 and Gold medal confirm what the glass already shows, this is Semillon at its most complete.ā
"Ten years of patience, still going. Pour it for the friend who actually knows what they're drinking."

Alluvius
The name āAlluviusā derives from the well drained, āalluvialā soils found in vineyards planted close to river beds. These soils are renowned for growing Semillon as it leads to a unique expression of what is considered to be Australiaās greatest white wine style.Ā
Vintage
The Hunter vintage turned out to be somewhat of a difficult year trying to make picking decisions around rain events, some of which were not even predicted!
Harvest started much later than last year with the first grapes being picked on January 27, 2015.
Vineyard
Our Alluvius Semillon comes from the Braemore vineyard on Hermitage Road in the lower Hunter Valley. This famous vineyard, under the charge of Ken Bray, was planted in the late 60's and consistently produces benchmark Hunter Semillon.
The well drained, 'alluvial' soils lead to a unique expression of what is considered to be Australia's greatest white wine style.
