2013 Museum 'Strandlines' Cabernet Shiraz

An intensely concentrated nose of dark berry fruits, chocolate and spicy oak complexity. A serious full bodied blend of Cabernet and Shiraz, displaying ripe Cabernet flavours of cassis and blackberry integrated well with exotic spice and sweet mid palate fruit of Shiraz. A wine of great depth, intensity and structure.
Aged Tasting Note
Well over a decade in the bottle has taken the edges off without losing any of the intensity. The cassis and blackberry have settled into something more savoury, dried fruit, cedar, a touch of leather, while the Shiraz component still brings warmth through the mid palate. Full bodied and still structured, this is Cabernet Shiraz doing exactly what a great blend should do with real age.
