The Menu Is Set. The Wines Are Ready. A Few Seats Remain.

The Annual Harvest Lunch is three weeks away, and we wanted to share what's in store.

On Saturday 27 June, we're sitting down at the newly opened Mount View Estate for a long afternoon with Wilderness Chef in the kitchen and some exceptional museum releases on the table. The menu moves beautifully through the day, and the wine pairings going back to 2016 are worth the trip alone.

Here's what the afternoon looks like:


On arrival Sparkling Silenus & canapés

First course Yellowfin tuna, celeriac, green apple, kohlrabi & dill paired with
2026 Single Vineyard 'Alluvius' Hunter Valley Semillon & 2017 'Alluvius' Semillon

Second course Porchetta, parsnip, fennel, red cabbage, chives & mustard cream paired with
2025 'Venus Block' Orange Chardonnay & 2016 'Venus Block' Orange Chardonnay

Third course Cured duck breast, puy lentil ragout, eschallot, thyme & sprouts paired with
2024 Single Vineyard 'Tallavera' Hunter Valley Shiraz & 2017 'Tallavera' Shiraz

Cheese course Baked Manchego, whipped chèvre, beurre bosc pear & candied walnuts paired with
2023 Single Vineyard 'Block 21A' Cabernet Sauvignon & 2016 'Block 21A' Cabernet Sauvignon


Eight wines across four courses, including a first taste of the 2026 'Alluvius' Semillon straight from this year's vintage before it's available anywhere else. John Davis and Andrew Ling will introduce the wines through the afternoon, and live music from Anna Weatherup carries the day along.

Every guest also takes home the 2026 Harvest Plate, an original artwork by Hunter Valley artist Danielle McManus, commissioned each year for this event.

$220 per person. Saturday 27 June, 11am – 4pm. Mount View Estate, Mount View Road, Mount View. Smart casual. Transport and accommodation options available.
