While we’ll always love making (& drinking!) the well known classics like Shiraz and Chardonnay, we’re very proud to be championing the ‘Alternate’ varieties; lesser known international wines which are perfectly suited to our climate & packed full of flavour.
Paying homage to its Roman history this Aglianico is our strongman of the Alt Series. A dark and powerful wine built a lot like a black forest cake. Layers of dark, bitter chocolate notes with whirlpools of black cherry and sour kirsch providing energy on the palate. The impressively coiled tannins provide great length and structure which will allow this wine to continue to age into the complex tar notes for the next twenty years. Best matched to venison or kangaroo chargrilled meats.
