Based in the Hunter Valley, we have selected Single Origin coffee beans from around the world where we believe to be the best growing conditions such as Ethiopian, Guatemalan, and Brazil.
We roast in small batches to ensure we capture the best flavour profile to suit each style of bean we use and the unique characteristics of that coffee bean are expressed through the following recommended brewing methods:
- Milk based
It is widely accepted that Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. It is believed that the forest of the Kaffa region is the origin of ‘Coffea Arabica’.
Coffee is ‘Bun or Buna’ in Ethiopia, so coffee bean is quite possibly a poor anglicized interpretation of ’Kaffa Bun’.
Unlike coffees from other regions, Ethiopian coffees have the genetic make-up and sturdiness to grow and spread with very little human interference. This means that there is not much need for pesticides and fertilizers, making them naturally organic.
LIMU is a region in the Oromia growing zone located in Southern Ethiopia. Limu coffee is renowned for its good cup, sweet, spicy/wine like flavours yet maintaining balanced body. This is considered one of the premium gourmet coffees worldwide.
